And I can't tell anyone why!!! Yet I still find the need to write down that I'm very happy.
I found the BEST Chinese food last week! Its called the May House, and is actually cooked by Asians and not Mexicans. Hmmm think I'll have that for dinner tonight! If your ever in Ames, that is the number 2 stopping place...number 1 is the Campus. Just don't blink because you'll miss the town lol.
Classes are going well. My first mid-terms are coming up soon, and I already need to make up on readings for some of my classes...there just doesn't seem to be enough time to work and get my school work done here. Think for next semester I'm just going to focus on my classes so I can get done. I know my mom won't like that Idea, because i'll be eating into my savings...but I've gotta do what I've gotta do to finish. I'm burnt out and NEED to be done.
On a side note: my psychology class has really opened my eyes to all the things that can go wrong in the development of babies in regards to determining what sex they turn out to be...especially for males. There is a condition where testies don't drop until they are teens...so for there childhood they look like femals untile they hit puberty, one condition where they develop breasts naturally...but are genetic males (no droped testies)...all that has to do with lack of testosteron!!!!! Poor guys!

Week two of classes

This is my second week at Iowa State, and I am enjoying myself a bit. The layout of the campus is much larger then Cal State Fullerton, but its beautiful. Trees line the many walk ways with acres of just grass for students to lay out on...when its not rainning or snowing. The school itself is 150 years old, and the buildings show it. Not in the way some buildings age horribly, because all of these buildings are well kept, but the architecture is breath taking on some of the buildings. I've heard that some people do get married on campus during the spring in the oldest part of campus, where there is a garden with an archway. To the left is a picture of the Clock tower, and the fountain in front of the Memorial Union followed by a picture of Alumi Hall in the fall. My classes are very interesting so far, and one of which requires me to blog on here...so from time to time you may come accross an assignment for that class. The class is Women Studies with a focus on German history...but really we are talking about cyborgs and robots...still trying to piece it together.
